Now THAT is one nice Beetle!

Ex-Japan or UK?

crsedge - March 18th, 2009 at 07:35 AM

Ex-Japan!

You are right, it is a great Beetle, just bad timing

I have only had the car from January (thus the report from Gold Coast VW is current!) purchased from the owner in QLD, and have spent quite a few $1000 on floor pans and struts.

My loss is someone elses gain (or will be!!)

Cheers

kroozzn63 - April 18th, 2009 at 04:25 PM

bargain looks a sweet stockie

Craig Torrens - April 18th, 2009 at 06:04 PM

why did you replace the pan halves, were they rusty ?

Is the rest of the car original, like original paint and motor etc or has it been restored ?

Cheers

crsedge - April 19th, 2009 at 08:19 AM

Two small rust spots on pans, so decided to replace full pan halves, cost over $3K ( have receipts).

No other restoration that I am aware of, motor original with nil issues.

Great stock car that could be easily left or customised as per buyers wishes.

Cheers

Craig

This is nuts!

I wish I could justify buying this somehow. :grind:

crsedge - May 23rd, 2009 at 05:54 PM

Yes, you are right, I still can't believe that this is up for grabs!!

The only other two cabriolets for sale on the internet are $19500 (LHD) and $30,000, which are clearly more expensive, and LHD less desirable (in my mind anyway).

There must be someone who can justify it!
