A friend of mine wants to buy a complete but going, or almost, Beetle or Type 3 that he can strip to a chassis, seats, a roll cage and a box on the back for his fishing gear.

He has a house up near Lancelin and wants to be able to go fishing and also to have some fun in the dunes.

He wants the engine to be a TP 1600 or at least a 1500, so that it will be able to go well with big fat tyres on the back.

He is prepared to pay only a few hundred dollars for one.

He is also a great lover of Beetles and so he will not be prepared to remove a good body to get what he wants. He would like the body to be horrible and rusty. Rust in the pan is not a problem to him.
