75 Microbus
onetrackwonder - July 19th, 2009 at 08:37 PM

Hi Guys I have to put up for sale my 75 microbus due to changed circumstances I am moving house and I'm going from seven car spaces to one and a half, I currently have six and the transporter has to go after all the hard work has been done, Its a great base I looked for ages to find suck a good van to start with in the first place, it has an 1800 engine that was rebuilt 15 months before it was taken off the road and only needs a battery and fuel to run, I tossed the front seats, rear lights and 2 rear pieces of glass because I was putting two sliding windows in, it was primed as I went to stop surface rust and this is easily stripped back off with thinners if needed, I'm only looking to get back what I have spent and many hours of labour are not included, I'm after $2500. ono, I'm giving you guys the first chance to get a great car, if she doesn't sell here then eBay it will be

Always the way ! to far from here!
Looks great, you have done some really nice work there, I don't think you will have a problem selling it.

Looks like a fiar amount of elbow grease was used - nice.

How is the gearbox and how many seats was it set up for in the back Greg?

Hi again, we are looking into transport costs to Tewantin in Queensland. Do you have any tips on who might be good to use for this. We are 110% interested in buying and happy to arrange deposit to secure sale. Matt 0435145404.

Hi Matt, the rear has only one seat and without the bolts that holds it down, as for the gear box I have only driven it up and down my road when I got it home, and everything seemed fine but it was only cruised as she was out of rego at the time, the rubber linkage on the gearshift shalft needs replacing $20 and 10 minutes so I expect all is good, as for transport I have never done this before but im happy to help, maybe dropping it off at a local transport depot, cheers Greg

ok HI Greg

We have some good quotes for transport - door to door so that is great

I guess a few quick questions

you mentioned a seat - with the transportation there can be nothing loose in the car. At the moment what would be considered loose that comes with the car - ie: any old seals, seat, bits and bobs?) We may need you to just tack (weld) the seat in place so it can travel.

Also re engine: have you done a compression test or anything like that on it?

Gearbox: - does it pop out of gear - or any weird noise that you can think of (apart from the rubber linkage)

Windows - currently any with the car?

We are ok if we have to do some work - just need to know how much

Thanks

Matt
