[WTB - NSW] beetle for full resto project
tbone9 - August 7th, 2009 at 11:49 AM

looking for a beetle (year irelevant now) for a full ground up project. Doesn't matter if no gearbox/motor but I'd prefer if the body/interior is complete (first beetle project, so important to know how it all comes apart). Looking for something around $1k if possible. Condition is not important. Let me know if you have something. Thanks, tbone9. :dork:

may have a 71 beetle thats pretty much stock and unmolested og paint too, needs heater channels and some lower hinge repair , just have to see if the old man wants to part with it . Think it runs a 1300 late beetle box and no motor (swing axle ) has been converted to disc and has new balljoints . Its at a property near marulan but will be down there in a couple of weeks to take pics if you like. Been out of rego for 4 yrs. I have alot of beetle bits of this era (70-71) ie guards and interior pieces .
The only body damage is some heat /paint cracking from exhaust near valance and i think a dent in rear guard , but have replacement panel.

Thanks Klaus,

I'd be interested in seeing some pictures if you can get me some. Do you have a ball park price for me to consider? Your panels might come in handy too, but it'll be a while as I'll start with a full strip, rust cuts and interior seal to get things rolling. Look forward to your feedback. Thanks again.

what's your location Tbone?

Hi hellbug and Grumpy,

I'm in Leonay, near Penrith (don't hold that against me though:mad:).

Grumpy, do you have some pics you can email me? My address is tonyb@balluff.com.au. Rust is not an issue for me as long as it's in all the usual (replacable) places.

When could I have a look at it, might be able to do a shotgun trip tomorrow if you're interested.

Hellbug, what do you have for me mate?

Thanks everyone.

Tbone.
