1969 Volkswagen Squareback

*12 months VIC rego
*IRS, Disc brakes on the front
*Rust free, solid pan painted with rust preventative, slithers of bog, some surface rust
*lowered (bumpy but easily raised)
*80% original paint
*original interior in very good condition
*perfect headlining
*135,165 nangkangs with plenty of life left
*new synthetic grass carpet
*All electrics work
*heater is very good
*some spare parts included (chrome trim, spare w/screen, spare dash, spare tail lights etc)

Accessories include - exterior solid visor, working amber fog light, bugpack quick shifter, Mp3 stereo, eyelids, ratty roof rack, whitewalls inserts (not installed)

Last week I had the following work done and the car is running very well and can be daily driven.

-Adjusted tappets
-adjusted carbies
-points
-return springs
-linkage

total=$225

As a result the car is purring and ready to drive anywhere.


The roadworthy was carried out 6/2008 and also had the following work done.

-New machined disk & calipers & hoses
-New drums & linings & shoes & wheel cylinders
-Brakes bled and adjusted
-New RH lower ball joint
-New gaskets
-New spark plugs
-New horn
-New fuse box
-Full service
-Etc Etc

total= Approximately $2000.

Not sure what would be required for RWC, suspension raised, rear left tail light replaced (spare included in sale). Last RWC was completed only last year.

This car is a solid example that can be daily driven. Rust free and purring like a kitten.

Thanks mate.

Also looking for a trade for a '68-'69 baywindow (+ the cash difference) has to be wide 5, early lights and bumpers. Doesn't need a motor or anything in the cargo area, can be pop top, little to no rust, and also close to roady would be great.

BUMP! this car is no longer listed on ebay but it is still for sale and the ebay ad still accurately describes the car. it will be getting reconditioned carbie on the 22nd of dec which should make it a good little driver. I'll also renew the reg and will part with the car for about 6k

Wow! Nice looking car mate. Our brains are obviously on the same wavelength in terms of interior design, as I have been dying to carpet my Type 3 Squareback in artificial turf ever since I bought it! Haven't done it yet though. Good luck with the sale.
