Hi All, my partner has recently become interested in buying a VW Fastback 1600 for our second car - are looking for any vehicle in pretty good original condition with minimal work required as a daily commute. We are ex owners of campers and are keen to get back into the VW fold with some character.

[FS - QLD] F/S 73 Type 3 Auto Fastback


For Sale 1973 Type3 Auto Fastback.
It has a 1800 type4 motor installed in 2005 with Blue Plate.
It is Wattle colour and Black interior.it was a daily driver for many years but the last few have been on club rego.
At one time we changed it to manual then went back to auto, but we left the manual pedals and clutch cable in place so would be easy to change back to manual .

Can be returned Type 3 Motor by simply bolting the standard Type 3 engine mounts back in.

There is some rust in the body in the usual places as shown in the pictures.

I have a set of hot wire mags that go with the car plus some spare panels and bumpers

Thanks grpawalky - have contacted this owner - they are unsure if when will be available, i hope that he remembers me fondly when he decides ..but thanks for the heads up. Do you or do any other other members here know kind of ball park dollars for this level of restoration / condition? Just trying to get my head around the value ranges for this model....many thanks.
