gazzac - December 28th, 2009 at 02:49 PM

Hello all, I am new to the VW scene and I am looking to restore an early 60's beetle.( In the past I have restored a 66 mini van,a 68 cooper s,a lc torana, and a 68 mk2 cortina).I will travel to some parts of victoria and most of sa to pic up. looking at spending about $1200 to $1500 for the right car. This car will be kept for me to play with and for my son when he gets his license and proves he can look after it.so if you have a early 60's vw beetle or know where I can find one please let me know. Also Any help and advice would be great. Gary

Can you be more specific as to 'the right car'!
Do you want a running, registered, rust free, original ???
I might be able to help you, just give me a call or tell me what you consider 'the right car'.

Hello dogo. I would prefer something close to complete. doesnt have to be registered but papers would be good. as far as a runner, not important as a rebuild would be on the cards, rust is not an issue as long as its not terminal( to far gone). original is not important as long as its not to butchered. As its going to be restored paint rust etc etc is all fixable. Thanks Gary
