Hi all,

With the new house needing a lot of work, and the beetle doing nothing but sleeping underneath it, I've decided it's time for someone else to enjoy it.

This car was restored by the boys at Harding European a few years ago. They did a great job and it still looks great, 9 years later.

The car is a '76 German-build, 1600 Beetle (not superbug) and standard features include:
Ball joint front beam, IRS, flat windscreen, 12V electrics, km/h speedo with fuel gauge, padded dash, front disk & rear drum brakes, rear side pop out windows, high seat back with headrests, inertia reel seatbelts for front and 3 point fixed for rear.

Extras:
The car has the EMPI GTV sticker set, EMPI Sprintstar, Flat 4 GT steering wheel, wooden trim pieces along the door, EMPI short shift kit, EMPI merged headers and rear muffler
The engine is 1776 with twin Kadrons. I believe it's running a taller 4th gear ratio but I am not too sure on that
Suspension: Narrowed front beam and fitted with drop spindles, rear is standard
Sound system: Eclipse amp powering alpine 10" sub and a pair of split components, from an Alpine mp3 headunit

The Good
The car looks great outside, paint shines and attracts tons of attention. It starts first go, warms up very quickly and drives very well. 4th gear can be used from 50km/h to an unknown Vmax

The Mildly Bad
Some rust is starting to appear beneath the paint along the edge of the body, where it meets the top edge of the bonnet.
Split in the front passenger seat, right in the middle.
Dent on both front wings – one of them is my fault
Dent on passenger side floorpan - no rust here

someone please take her to a good home!
