I'm looking for a replacement for my crashed 1970 1500 Beetle. I'm planning to use it for motorsport and already have quite a few 1500 parts/panels,
so I need something compatible with them.
My minimum requirement is for a bare body shell and front beam, as my existing floorpan and all other parts are saveable. If nobody happens to have a
bare shell sitting around, I'm also interested in buying whole cars, within a certain budget.
I'll try to outline what I'm looking for as clearly as possible.
Things I want:
Minimal or no rust
Good straight chassis/front beam
I strongly prefer ball-joint front end to Super-bugs
I would love IRS if anyone has a semi-auto Beetle
A car/shell which is already race-prepared would be a bonus and would command extra cash, for example a nice Baja conversion or a car with an approved
roll-cage or other extras
Things I don't mind:
Bad paint and minor cosmetic damage, as it will have a hard life with me driving it anyway!
Interior condition is not important
Engine and transaxle not needed, as I have good ones already
Condition of fenders, doors and bumpers is also not critical, as I have a good set of them
Wheels/tyres are not important, as I have plenty of those
So, if you have a straight-ish, mostly rust-free late Beetle in South Australia which you think fits the bill, please let me know. My name is Mark and
you can contact me here or on 0437323971. I'm willing to pay cash or even swap my Type 3 Squareback for the right car.
still have my 68 beetle if ya want it, but itdoes have rust

I'm still looking for a car. Any structurally-sound car with ball-joint front end strongly considered.
