[FS - TAS] 77 2lt Kombi Camper
hjsimpson01 - January 21st, 2010 at 01:40 PM

Mechanicals
Registered in Tasmania for another 6 months. Drives great, has done 25,000kms on a reco engine (Could be original, have not run the numbers). Receipts for recent mechanical work provided. Pop Top canvas in as new condition, slides smoothly, etc. All door locks work well, has been "tastefully" converted to push button start prior to my purchase.
Engine seems strong, idles very well. No obvious gearbox issues, happy for test drives!

Interior
Comes with a makeshift interior with sink, gas lines but no fridge. Pop top bed is there, foam for double bed is there, but it is makeshift... I do not want to pull the wool over anyone eyes here... So please ask for address details if you are serious, in order to inspect!

Bodywork
There is little to no rust in the body/chassis. The passenger side rear wheel has a small pocket in behind it which has blistered and started to pull away and there is a dent immediately behind where the sliding door opens, this is not big enough to interfere with the opening or closing of the door, there is also a slight dent in the driver's door and a small dent in the front behind the spare wheel. Front driver's dogleg is revealing a couple of pin sized dots of rust. The rest of the Kombi is as solid as the day it rolled off the factory floor.
UPDATE: The sliding door has recently decided to not open. This appears to be a latch issue, either still locked and not unlocking or something else... Happy to either have fixed in the price or knock dollars off in lieu.

I have driven this Kombi for a short time now, but I have no hesitation in hopping in it as a daily driver to get me to work, shops, etc. I would also have no hesitation in driving longer distances. I am only selling due to the fact I want to concentrate on my Split Kombis and this was a distraction that i could see going too far... (New interior, fix up bodywork, etc... Money needed for Splits! LOL)

Dollars
$5300.00 Or Best Offer
and NO, the Splitties AREN'T for sale...

Thanks Deb & Wendy, hope your trip was not soured too much by the troubles... Their Kombi had a clutch issue, mine a battery issue? Or was that tyre pressure? LOL
