Well, unfortunately the time has come, way too early really! I've been pondering over this the last few months as some of you know and circumstances
means that at this time i need to sell the bug.
My wife and i bought a house in August last year and 'other' things are on the cards. I really really want to keep it, but its just not practical
and its too much money sitting there not doing anything. I've also started a small side business which has consumed any time that i did have to work
and play with the bug.
I think the build thread ( http://aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?tid=67295 ) speaks for itself -
Alright, my mind is made up. Making my decision in light of 'the greater good'. Too much money sitting in the garage which could be used
very wisely elsewhere. At this stage im stripping the whole car and will be keeping the shell and pan only for a rainy day. Its too good to sell for
nothing. Unless someone offers me a good price for pan and shell, ill be keeping it. EVERYTHING ELSE IS NOW FOR SALE - EVERY PART. Let me know what
you want and make some offers. First in best dressed. Pricing will be less than what i paid, but not for nothing. Please have patience in replies to
pm's, as i assume there will be a few... Off ya go! My loss, your gain.

Great looking car Mick, cant work out why I have not seen this around. Asking big $$ but I do know that the money has been spent as well to get it to
what it is now and from my perspective, I hate your guts cause you have put in the time and effort into many areas I wanted and should have done on
mine.......................jealousy is a curse. In all honesty hope someone loves it and has the $$ to spend.
Did you get any readings on intake temps and just how effective the Plazaman stuff is?
Good luck.
Parting with this car must have been a heart wrenching decision. I hope that it finds a good home to justify your time and effort. Free bump
thanks guys - does hurt to have her for sale - and the LARGE amount of money loss too!!!!
Wow this must be the ULTIMATE sleeper.
Would love to take this out wth my V8 mates.
Good luck with the sale, I will hope for a windfall
ahh keep the vw and just rent your empty rooms out to Japanese uni students
They pay good money, as rooms are hard to get.
AND on weekends take em on tours of OZ in your vw for a small fee.
Like they do with those oz trikes joy rides at the Blue Mountains.

Are you selling front and rear bumper bars???
you cant strip such a nice car, what were you asking for it?
did you try ebay Mick?.........there have been numerous heavy hitters on AVD that went nowhere until they went onto ebay and sold there after a couple
of tries.
as always, good luck with the sale
I agree mate, i think most people on avd cant afford expensive cars, better advertised elsewhere, its too good to part out mate
That must be heartbreaking!! What a truly good looking bug, wish I could help get it off your hands! Hope you get what you want.
thanks ancientbugger.
Yes, VWMAD, bumpers are for sale
Thanks for the advice guys, and i agree in part - but my mind is now set.
Just to clarify, the shell, as in doors, windows, bonnet, guards etc are staying as one.
Mick PM sent

Sad to see it go in peices.
What computer is it running?
Axles and CV's?

Heath
It's a real shame that you are parting this out.
However, there are some parts I am interested in. Will PM a starting list.
That has to be one of the most outstanding Bug's I have ever seen...
I was speechless which doesn't happen often
Just a gorgeous Bug with so much time put into it..Love the seats with the VW Logo
Sad to see it being parted out but I spose at times you gotta do what ya gotta do!
Incredible Bug!!
Thanks mate, nice to hear its appreciated.
