69 Squareback for sale
benbus - February 14th, 2010 at 11:55 AM

Hi Guys,
After much discussion, we have decided to sell the squareback.
She belonged to the same old lady for all her life until the old lady could no longer drive a manual (bad left knee) and was passed onto her son. He was going to restore it but wasn't interested in old cars like
her.
When we got her she was running well and in good condition, but once we started to look more closely we could see she needed a little bit of a tidy up. The more work we did, the more we found and in the end she has been completely restored. New brake calipers for front disc, new disc rotors (front). New brake pads. New wheel cylinder for rear. New Master cylinder, new brake shoes. New ball joints (front). New suspension bushes in back.
No rust. No dents. Fresh & perfect paint.
New interior, leather black and vinyl dark magenta seats,& door cards. New carpet. New headlining & sunvisors. All replacement parts are authentic and shipped out from the U.S.
Every single rubber seal has been replaced with new. Trimmed in boot area and under bonnet.
New indicators all round. Chrome polished like new.
New stereo system including ipod connection, cd player and front and rear speakers -front speakers carpetted and fitted to interior (they look like they were always there).
She's also sitting on some original sprintstar 4 wheels from the 70s (not reproductions) that have also been painstakingly refurbished - they look beautiful.
Her only blemish is the dashboard that does have some cracks. These have been patched and are not particularly noticeable but can be seen when you look for them.

What a sweet ride, those early type 3 are awsome. the stance and the wheels look fantastic. If I has a spare 15 grand it would be mine.

Beautiful car.

Thanks for clearing up the post code issue, I thought it may have been the other Byron Bay, post code 7293874. If it was that one I would come have a look, but Byron Bay 2481 is just too far for me.
