1971 Beetle cabrio
RodPenrose - March 8th, 2010 at 12:07 PM

This was the first car I impoted from the US back in 2004 . I purchased it from the 2nd owner that had owned it for the past 24 years . This LHD super beetle is a good solid car that is all original apart from a colour change some 20 years ago . Body is good , pans are soild , 1600cc engine leaks oil from everywhere , transmission shifts perfect and the car stops well with 4 wheel drums . Interior is neat and clean , roof was replaced 18 months before I purchased the car , headliner is original and shows wear , rear beaver panel is shitty and comes with a new one to be fitted . I also purchased a few rubbers and parts that will go with the car . This car drives nice and can be driven home . It is located in Wollongong NSW two five two six and I would like to get around $ 7500 for it , ROD , 02-42729920 .

Rod,

Is this really a sort of creamy-pink? Or am I more colour blind than I thought.

What was the original colour, just out of interest?

Cheers,

Colour looks like Sahara Beige to me.

Seems like a very fair price for a late model cabrio on the road with a good hood.

Cheers

Steve

This car is still for sale and I would like to move it on to someone that can get some more use of it . It has not been used for over 18 months and at 17 cars I need to let a few go to make some more space , ROD ,02-42729920 .

This car now has flat tyres from sitting , ROD.

I'm surprised about so little interest in this car for the price. Seems pretty solid. I paid $8,000 for my 78 many years ago and apart from a rustfree body, the car was r**ted.

Hello Sir,
I would be interested in purchasing the vehicle, can you please tell me what your bottom line price is, I have a 67 cabriolet for sale, I think I'll complete it and keep it . I was also just considering importing one in from the States.

Ok people , This car has been sitting in my front yard for the past 2 years and I am getting sick and tired of Alison asking me to move it so she can mow the grass . I am open to any offers as I have got the shits with this thing just sitting here wasting away . I have the later model cab I am restoring , ROD.
