[FS - NSW] DUB-83N 1970 1835cc Lime Green Beetle :( SOLD
Ollie - March 22nd, 2010 at 10:54 PM

Gone to a great home!

Hey boys and girls, sadly (very sadly) I've had to put my 1970's beetle up for sale to fund my trip overseas. I wasn't planning on this at all, but money is money and I'm slowly getting closer to my departure date with a lack of funds.
I've just replaced the clutch and clutch cable (less than 1000km ago), the plugs and leads (less than 2000km ago) and had a an oil change (aprox. 2000km ago). I also had the car tuned and serviced whilst the clutch was being changed.

The car is in immaculate condition, I can't begin to stress how clean it is. It's used as a daily so it's practical and the 1835cc is definitely powerful enough to keep up with everyday traffic (and then some!)

Rego is until the 23rd of December.

I'm looking for $12,000 ONO, and I'm open to offers (but please no low ballers). Come have a look at the car for yourself, it's in pristine condition.

Also, the previous owner (and I) have kept all receipts spent on the car, as well as the original purchase documentation.

Car is Located in Lane Cove, 2066 NSW.

If interested, please call Ollie on 0402 147 320 or shoot any emails to ollie_clarke@hotmail.com or send me a P.M. If you're technologically advanced and want to text me about any details of the car I'm more than happy to answer.

Nope - hopefully a stocky when I'm back! That's the plan anyway :D Then down to Penrose for a freshen up if I've got some spare change from the trip

Bump- no one keen on a super clean bug?

Just wanted to say that I think this is a sweet ride and tell others that if you were to build this yourself, it would cost heaps more.

Prior to my buying my old 61 Beetle ($1000) a mate said to me to just buy one already built for about $10,000 and you can drive it now, I said F#*@ off I'm not spending that much on a Beetle.

Well now I have spent about $15,000 and this is with doing all work myself and only paying to have rust cut out and this is where I am up to. Admittedly I have a heap of parts waiting to go on, once I get it painted (still have to pay for painting and trimming).

If you speak to others whom have done cars up they will probably same the same and I think is a good buy and one sweet looking ride.

Anyway, good luck with the sale and if only I knew 2 years ago what I know today. Could have saved about 10K+ :grind:

Ollie - March 31st, 2010 at 09:01 AM

Thanks Kev. I was originally going to do the from-the-ground-up build, but once I crunched some numbers I figured (if I could find one) I'd try buy one already done. Lucky this came up and the rest is history!
So for all of you guys out there that want to build one up, save a penny and buy this
