[WTB - WA] Karman Ghia wanted
tintin2 - May 6th, 2010 at 12:28 AM

Hi my name is Gavin and I live in Kalgoorlie - W.A. - I am chasing to purchase a KG Coupe that is complete and not started the restoration process - I will look at started projects if I can be certain all parts are still with the car. No collision damage and not extremely rusted - can anyone help?

Cheers Neil - I have tried his mobile a couple of times now and it says to ring back - turned off out of range etc.. anything too pricey not viable as I am chasing a doer upper. Gavin

Gavin
I have a started project car in the shed. I'm finally admitting to myself that I'm unlikely to ever put it back together, family.. kids.. mortgage(s).. you'll have heard my story before.. .

It's a '61KG which was stripped, rust cut out and resprayed (antique white) and a partial retrim inside. But still needs rewiring, reassembly and lots of fiddly work to be done. I did drive it for several years so I'm pretty sure all the bits are there..

It's in Adelaide.
If that's of any interest I can dig it out, send you lots of photos and chat further. email me if you wish.
cheers db

Cheers, paul

Hello all - still interested in if anyone has a karman ghia for sale - i will consider any condition - any year - however KG must be right hand drive - will consider convertibles Regards Gavin

bushed - June 1st, 2010 at 08:07 PM

any cond any year (to do up still?)

tintin - June 2nd, 2010 at 09:28 PM

Hello Bushed - yes the intention is to restore - any condition hmmmmm maybe not anything that is not viable to restore - ideally something that is in a decent condition that actually could be registered and undergo a restoration process after driving the Karmann Ghia for a bit - then undergo a full restoration. Thanks for responding Regarsds Gavin

deluxe hunter - June 4th, 2010 at 11:26 AM

I have a KG that doesnt tick any of your boxes, however it is quite special; a '57 lowlight ghia (yep it LHD as they all were) and its not complete.
But the good bits are it has very little rust, and the parts are available ex US at quite reasonable cost...and it in WA

asking $4000 0438892472

tintin - June 4th, 2010 at 10:37 PM

Hey Bushed I searched your previous posts - 18k or there abouts is out of what I wish to pay - chasing registered - rh drive IRS - disc brakes above 65 or thereabouts and under 10k - maybe there is such a karmann available - arent keen to do a full resto - prefer to drive for a bit then do the full resto. Regards Gavin - If the kg you have for sale is not the one in your previous posts and meets the ticks - would love to hear from you.
