1972 flat screen super beetle.
Purchased several years ago from an enthusiast who had gone right through it and done all the good preservation stuff. He also had it regularly
serviced by our local VW specialist in Bunbury. I got it as a daily driver for my Mother. She loves it but I bought another bug which IMO is more
collectible, a 76 standard beetle.
Apart from several fiddly fix ups and serviceing I put a new battery in last winter. Otherwise it has been a reliable runner around town, and drives
as well as the super beetles should. Slight surface rust on roof seam, paint showing fading on roof.
licensed until July 2011.
I will post some pics soon.
Now asking $2200 ( reduced 09 March 2011).

G'day Noel. Waiting patiently for photos.

1971!
built in 1971 not 1972. The rego papers state 1972 but the compliance plate states 10/1971..and the chassis number begins with 111....
But, the car manufacturers year is from Aug to Aug, so anything built after Aug 1971 is called a 1972 model.
Whatever works for you...... 40 years later..
its a 71 model, maybe delivered later but its a 1971, the engine lid, small rear window, wipers switch on dash not on stalk maybe the one of the last 71's.
Reduced the price to $2200. I need to get it out of the driveway.
I got a new repro carpet set for under the front bonnet so that looks a lot nicer now. Been using it around town occasionally, but took it out on the
highway and some rural backroads on the weekend, and it drives lovely.
Also, while crawling around underneath I re-discovered the fact that the original air cooling thermostat is still in service. Thats how original this
car is.
Any chance this is still up for grabs?
I'm in the bunbury area and rather keen to have a closer look
sold. went to a good home.
