1965 Euro Beetle for Sale
I would like to offer for sale please my 1965 (August '64) built German made Beetle for sale
It's really not being used and I need the garage space for another car, great little car, all original, has not been mucked with at all, 6 volt,
original 1200 motor,
I bought her last year In January, have spent about $2500 (with receipts) to have the clutch plates and cable done, drum brakes rebuilt, steering, tie
rod ends done, new distributor, full service, new plugs, rotor, points, etc.. etc.. starter motor has been rebuilt. tuned up......
have a look at the pictures, you will note many small differences in this car from an Australian made Beetle of this year.
Drives very well, will sit on 100KPH easily with the european ratio gearing.
Lights etc.. everything works.... drivers side window baily channel replaced about 6 weeks ago.
Bodywork is in very good condition, few small scrapes here and that,
overall I think the car presents itself quite well, I do always get a lot of comments, when out driving about how nice it looks.
Mileage is showing 18xxx miles, which is 118,000 miles since new,
I am asking $5,000 without registration, or $5,335 with registration till May 18 2011, your choice.
Please contact me via email initally if you have any questions,

...yeah the big back window makes it intersting, well in Australia as the cars here didn't get that till the '68 year?
I "think" August '64 was the first month of production in Germany for the big back window model.
Key goes in beside the steering wheel, steering lock (accessory at the time)
Bonnet pull on the left side, its on the right on an Oz bug?
Cloth inserts on the seats,
Mechanical fuel gauge
windscreen washer
I don't think L87, was offered here as a colour at the time, I've seen a fastback here locally that is in the same colour.
The wheels painted white is different as well,
but yes, lots of little things that make it different and unique.
