1982-vw kombi transporter T3
8 seater,auto gear box done only 245km since being rebuilt by jkm auto(wynnum )cost $3000,last rwc nov 2009,good interior,minimum rust,good tyres and mags,bull bar,,, BUT

IT NEEDS A NEW MOTOR...2lit aircooled engine has been stripped down to reveal a split crankshaft.
Engine and auto gearbox are out of van.

Yes it's a great looking T3 . It's sad to let it go but i don't have the cash to spend on finding parts.
SIders crossing VW have a spare 2nd hand engine block whicch they quoted $660 last month.I'm told the
engine blocks are rare.
Just can't decide if to go original aircool engine or stick in a subaru motor.:grind:

I had an air cooled and i now have a later wasser boxer

I love the air cooled
Mine was an auto like yours - just not as clean

I would keep it air cooled
leave the later wasser's to go subi if that is their wish

Just hang in there
That is a REAL clean example of an under valued VW
