Hi guys i have the following post in Parts; but if there is a cheap IRS bug out there or type three with IRS rear 4x130 i'm interested. Thanks Only looking for cheap parts so doesnt have to be running or registered.

WTB SA - BUG REAR IRS CONVERSION


Hi Guys,
just got screwed over by someone suggesting they had a TYPE 3 rear end complete that i could use for an IRS conversion for my 68 Bug,but when i got there numerous major parts were missing!!!!!! Frustrating!!!!! So i am on the lookout for a beetle or Type 3 rear end. I Need:

IRS Spring plates
IRS Torsion Bars (prefer thicker type 3/ HD)
IRS Pivot arms
IRS Axles
IRS Gearbox
Type 3 Drums (for better braking... Do i need backing plates too?)
And the brake lines to match


Would prefer SA but interested interstate if you are willing to post.

i have the torsion bars -24mm, but im in perth...i paid $50 for them but if you want them ill give them to you for $40 but you pay postage....

i went and bought the 27mm ones instead...

Are 24mm the stanard beetle ones and 27mm the typr three ones???

24mm is std type 3 and 27mm is aftermarket

Hey man, i have a complete irs rear cut.. Im in portland, hours drive from Mount Gambier if that helps..
