This is an Auto DC with 430k on the clock. It has had an engine rebuild less than 5,000 km's ago. I have had just about every fuse, wire, sensor and
pump replaced in the time I have owned it. The engine has a rock-solid bottom end with an Oettinger cam & engine remapping, Raceware anti-corrode
stainless steel head studs, new hydraulic lifters, new heads, new VW injectors, and lots of other new parts. I have receipts totalling over 7k on
parts and service that has been performed in the last few thousand k's. The gearbox is smooth, quiet and shifts effortlessly. The best part about
this vehicle is the body, although it has a few small carpark dents, it is very straight and completely rust-free everywhere. The rear tray has never
been used to haul loose loads, and the side gates and bed are in excellent shape. There has been a respray on the front panel at some stage, I am not
sure why, but there is no evidence of any previous accident damage looking from the inside of the front panel.
The history; Used from new by the Lees brothers (owners of Beetle wreckers, Brookvale. Sold by Northshore VW Brookvale) as a service and parts vehicle
(This was the same time they were racing their 16" Syncro), sold by them to the second owner (first private owner) in 93' for 21,000 (I have the
original sales booklet, service history and sales receipt) and then sold to me about four years ago.The vehicle has not been driven on roads now for
almost a year now, and will need to be re-registered. More info and pics on Kombiclub website.
