You need to remove the "Cal Look" in the title for an accurate description.

I was under the impression that Cal Look was a Standard beetle with bumpers removed, rear deck extended, droped at the front, badges removed (mine are still on). I stand corrected if I am wrong . But on the Cal Look sites they all look very similar to mine. What is Cal look then ?

vw69er - January 18th, 2011 at 10:02 PM

Harsh maybee?

however the pic of ur car is so far from anything cal look, it cant be called it. dude if you had a Gene Berg sticker on the window, could you could call it a Gene berg Cal look 68?..

1. Stance of car,all wrong, can't see that either front ot rear is lowerd at all.
2. Fiber fenders? nah, always steel.
3. Chromed accessories? only on exeption, strict cal, no way.
4. Rear deck open, almost never
5. no real engine? nah, always non stock, big cubes and fast
6.ordinary paint? nah always immaculate and cost as much as big engine.

Sorry, your ride is worth about 1500, gthe cal look angle just doesnt add 3k.

mate i dont know where your looking but a rust free body is about 3g straight off the bat with a decent pan is 4. so this is well worth the money if its a clean as he says.
i think your price range hasnt moved in the last two decades. if you can show me where to find rust free bugs for 1500 bucks that have a good box and motor, ill take a dozen

good luck with the sale abba

Good response Barls.

vw69er - January 19th, 2011 at 07:03 PM

Got it wrong, not trying to b offensive. I would luv to see abba get $6000 for the car!

But some truth in advertising is my point. Hence th GB sticker comment.

Thx for the PM barls, I read the rules, if you are offended abba, you have my apologie.

As my add originally implied it is a Cal Look Beetle. I suppose Look is the major word.

Yes it has fibre rear fenders. But supplied is the original STEEL fenders, and German bumpers if the new owner wishes to use.

It has been lowered approx 3" in the front and can be clearly seen in the first pic side on. If you cant see it you dont know what a standard one looks like.

Rear deck extended out is common in Cal Look as can be seen in the pic below describing the Cal Look.

As for hypo engine and hypo money spent on the paint Im only asking $4500 not $14500.

Finally the badging chrome is in really good condition and So I left it on. If I re painted I would take it off .

Have a look at the 2 pics I loaded and make your own minds up. I think mine LOOKs similar.

Now can we get back to selling on the car ??

vw69er - January 19th, 2011 at 09:58 PM

Negativety out.

Wish you all the best in the sale. SERIOUSLY.

Maybe a great point of view not to be deleted, as I spose mine it is my example of PC going to an extreme.

Be nice when you admot to a mistake, ppl actually care to care back and retract nasty first statments.
My typing is awful too!

So, I don't want bad blood, all to get along.
