Hi All,
Price dropped to $2k obo.
it's a 68 Beetle Baja, 6 months qld rego, mechanically great but with rust in the floor, heater chanels and a couple of other spots on the floor pan
I cant find the words to describe. While it is currently driveable, and the the issues could be covered up, realistically it's going to suit someone
keen to do the body work, or someone wanting all the parts to do a baja conversion on their own bug. Alternatively someone wanting most of the parts
for a buggy build.
It has a 1776 (?) TP engine with a webber, rebuilt by previous owner and I'd guess that was 20k ago, running well, it's good and strong.
Swinger gearbox was rebuilt earlier this year, it seems to have a small oil leak from one boot which I'm a bit sad about, but is otherwise as you'd
expect from a rebuilt box, tip top. Gearbox strap was fitted at the same time for additional strength off road.
Good condition allterrain tyres all round, 32 inch on the rear, 28 (?) inch on the front. Bash guards are fitted front and rear, and good bars too.
Rear seats have been removed and replaced with a timber shelf for more camping gear room, there is a cd player and two speakers fitted. Full carpet
interior, all door cards and seats in good condition. The carpet has been removed so I could fully check out the body, so it will need to be glued
back in, however I will leave it out to allow people to inspect the car properly.
A roof rack with awning, rear seats (in good condition) and an neat alloy oil cooler are included with the car. They are not currently fitted.
The bug is currently driven occasionally, and has never let me down, it will be available to test drive so that the mechanical condition can be
verified, I will not be supplying a rwc, I will however deliver the car within a reasonable distance.
Car is in Toowong, Brisbane.
