That is a sweet buggy. Well worth the asking price when you consider the cost of a chinese import and the hours that go into makng one from scratch.
Good luck with the sale!

Thanks for the help with the pics and the link Jace
I'll obviously need to learn how to do all that tech stuff myself
and for the kind words bluebaja and yeah you're right I thought it was a very reasonable price
I stopped counting the cost long before it was finished and that's not taking any time into account my time at all
time doesn't worry me though doing this sort of stuff, I love nutting things out for myself
Hardly anybody who has seen it believes that I made it myself until they see the progress pics (I don't even have a shed!!)
can't wait to be able to spend a bit of money on the baja (when I figure out the pics thing I'll put some up.
I put some details below

The chassis was originally VW, I replaced the rear torsion tube with Subaru (so it has a built in height adjuster for the rear)
Rear trailing arms are modified Subaru, running subaru drive shafts,
Front suspension is vw Torsion bar
The main Chassis is made from Seamless tube 42mm O/D 3.4mm wall thickness
with the main smaller bracing made from Seamless tube 34mm O/D 3.0mm wall thickness
All joins are fish mouthed and all bends have less than 10% distortion
it has a 2.1 mm cheka plate floor
Rear chassis rails are easily removable to allow one man removal of both engine and gearbox (takes aproximately 15 minutes to have them both out and on the floor)
All bolt used are 8.8 grade or better
Has a standard beetle fuel tank (aproximately 40 liters)
Front and rear shocks are new Toyota units
Subaru Disk brake rear and VW drums up front subaru dual circuit master cylinder
Collapsible subaru steering column
Moulded ABS BAJA / Sandrail seats with padded vinyl covers
4 Point 3 inch RPM Racing harnesses with quick release cam locks (Also has 5th point not fitted)
Engine is an EA 81 1.8 liter boxer four cylinder Rebuilt aprox 15k ago came from a one owner vehicle with 190k on the clock
Auto box is from the same car
It has a 40mm WEBBER sequential twin throat Carby and 3 inch pod filter
Custom made mandrel bend exhuast with high flow stainless muffler
Gemini radiator with thermo fan and large auto trans cooler
235/75/15 coopers on the rear and goodyear wranglers on the front
Has 300mm of ground clearance under floor
It fits onto my purpose built 8 x 4 flat top trailer
Wheel base is 2280mm front track is 1375mm rear track is 1550mm overall length is 3260mm overall width is 1795mm.
It took almost 2 years to build in total ( I am a welder by trade)
It was built with good quality gear specifically with durability and accesability of parts in mind
