it would make a great paddock basher cut the back off put an alloy ute tray those silly back windows are hard to see out of thats why vw stopped making them that way eventually:tu::love::lol:

My inlaws have a paddock basher buggy on their farm that has a split window or early oval chassis with a pipe rollcage welded to it.I took the chassis no. to a vw mechanic once and he said it was a 53-54 chassis.
Also found a 56 down the road that had the whole roof cut off including the windscreen, rear valance cut off and guards cut for big tires.
