VIC - 1973 Jeans Beetle For Sale
backtoscratch - May 6th, 2011 at 04:30 PM

$4000

Reluctantly selling my 1973 Volkswagen Beetle ?Jeans? Edition due to moving back to the UK. The Jeans Beetle is one of the most sought after of all the special edition beetles. As far as I know she is the only one of
her kind in Australia.

It is the original 1973 built model (for the 1974 model year). It has it"s original 1970"s denim interior with perfect headlining and blue door cards with black rubber floor mats. The Jeans Beetle has matt black trim instead of the usual chrome which is much harder wearing and personally I find it much more attractive!

The car is in fantastic condition for her age and has been recently re-sprayed in her original ?Tunis Gelb? paint code.

It has it?s original 1970?s denim interior with perfect headlining and blue door cards with black rubber floor mats.

It is a 1200 with a great engine that pulls strong and starts every time. She is regularly serviced and has recently had a major service, new clutch, oil cooler seals, rear axle boot and heater. I have always used premium grade fuel to keep her in tip top condition!

It is not concours condition but is great for her age. Drives daily with no smoke or rattles from the engine. It?s original heater works brilliantly and every single electric component works as it should.

It is registered until June, but is not being sold with a roadworthy.

For a roadworthy it will require the following

1) Windscreen replacement
2) Tryes (plenty of tread but old)
3) Replacement brake hoses
4) Minor surface rust

Can be checked with a garage who noted the above, the car is solid!

Priced accordingly to consider the above

VIEWING CAN BE ARRANGED BY CONTACTING GUY ON 0421625194.

VIEWING IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

CAR IS LOCATED IN SOUTH MELBOURNE NEAR THE MARKET -
CLOSEST TRAM STOP IS SOUTH MELBOURNE ON ROUTE 96

Can you post a picture of the rust that requires fixing for roadworthy?

backtoscratch - May 7th, 2011 at 06:46 AM

Sure,

The slight surface rust on the passenger floorpan and A pillar are not required for the RWC but just an advisory. As I say above it's structurally fine and can be verified by a mechanic :)
