unfortunatly, imissed out this time.rite car wrong time.would have been my dream beetle.hes just up the road from me.if id had the dough i wouldnt be talking to you rigt now,id be driving round with a huge grin on my face knowing id paid alot less than that.awsome car, cant believe your partin her out.you must have some nice cars man.im restoring a torana.sometimes you cant win em all.good luck.Stink.
Hey I'm sorry i beat you to it, I think you'd be surprised at what I ended up paying. The seller wasn't letting it go for any less than I paid,
(The starting price was way off) It owes me more than I will probably get back for it after flights, petrol, time taken off work etc... Besides,
prices are always negotiable, make me an offer you never know.
And no I don't have a lot of cars, I thought parting it out was a way for someone else to get a good shell or bits, if they couldn't afford the
whole thing. I need to sort out a Lowlight I'm committed to, simple as that.
I thought I saw this the other day driving on Galston road ! Cmon Dave turn it into a circuit racer....you know you want to !!!
Yeah that was me. I had the permit for an extra day so I took it throught the Galston Gorge & out to Annangrove to see how it handled through some twisty stuff. Needs some minor tweeks setting it up, but it's massively better than a swinger. That's why I pm'd you to get some bits. Either way I'm setting a Beetle up for track duty this year.
Did you get my email ?

Hey mate, what time are you at nationals from? could you pm me your number so i could give you a buzz when im there? thats heaps. Nick
I have sent you a pm fat-attack.
For others who are interested, I will be there early. Just ring the number on the car if you want to talk about it.
Cheers, Dave
Polished and ready for the nationals.
See you all there.
I'm a bit surprised at the lack of interest in this.....
Plenty of people seem to jump all over rusted out, patched up, non running, basketcase ovals for similar money. This little ripper actually drives as
well, And it passed it's QLD inspection first time. It's registerable.
For those of you on here who are actually looking for a decent oval, you are missing out on a good deal. You can lead a horse to water... Bugger it, I
may just keep it. Good luck finding all the stuff this has for the price!
Oh yeah I almost forgot, Bump.
PM'd
PM sent
Your right it is a dam good deal. I have been trying to chase up the $$$ for months now seeing it a few times on ebay. Still can't get the cash though
Thanks for all the positive comments, off to eBay tomorrow so last chance to get a bargain before it goes into the public domain.
I'm happy to sell it to Aussieveedub forum members for $8,500 with the genuine 16x6 Fuchs (Porsche part numbers on all wheels) This is less than I
paid a few weeks ago
Or $7,500 without wheels. Last chance....Bumpity f*#kin bump.
Still can't believe this hasn't sold.
Maybe it's just a case of bad timing... Those who want one either already have one, need to sell something first or just don't have the cash.
Anyway as much as I would like to keep it, The money is needed elsewhere, Oh well easy come, easy go....
georgus beetle and all the hard stuff done. Very cheap ive spent more and no were near this.. good luck with the sale!
i remember this one from an old vw aus mag about 15 years back.
used to have porka telephone dial wheels on it and a 2l engine
looked good then, still looks good now
bargain too. lots of good cars to buy out there in aus at the moment wish I was back there and had some cash to splash
very nice

The photo posted by VDUBXTC is the same car. That was the old rego plate, and before that, the plate was ASH.057. I have receipts going back to the
mid nineties, from when the car was originally built. I have also spoken to someone who had it in his family when it was originally red and on the
Oval pan, before it was done up by Ash and put on an IRS Pan. The whole car was stripped to bare metal and it was extremely solid.
It is definitely a 57 and has always been so. The other oval pictured by GOLD60 is on a swinger pan with short axles. There is no way 7 inch wide
teledials are going to fit under stock Beetle guards on an IRS pan without some MAJOR mods to the axle lengths, semi trailing arms, springplates
etc.... That's an extremely tasty looking Oval though.
cool..... nice ride for sure , c'mon Jace, just what you've been looking for!

I thought the car looked familiar.
In the mid-90's, I remember this car running around, the upper Northshore in Sydney.
I met the owner @ the drive thru bottlo in St.Ives.
The color coded 16 inch Fuchs looked great, and so too, the tarten themed door panels.
I do remember, that two hopped up Beetles, make a nice racket, when starting & rolling out of a drive thru bottle store!
