I am reluctantly selling my great Passat of 35 years. It is registered (Vic, Australia) and a going concern. My problem is a move to where I have no spare garage. I am looking for a good home for the car. V. Good condition.
IJB 159 is for sale at $1750 ex-Bendigo (no RWC supplied) Get in touch with me if interested for more information.
More info:
LS 4 door sedan
Registered in Vic. IJB159
Bought by me in 1975 but the first of the 1976 model - with wind out quarter-vent windows and plastic ends to bumpers.
Odometer reads 502,000 but actually approx 360,000 (had replacement speedo)
Not smashed - original white duco
Original motor - some minor oil leaks
Replaced dashboard (no radio speaker venting); Volkshome supplied gearknob; Volkshome supplied 'Luisi' steering wheel; covers over rear upholstery (due to deterioration of original); front seat lambskin covers; 2 Marchal period spotlights.
+ Genuine VW Workshop Manual (2 volume, 100 page)

Cool retro car. Nice to fit a modern 16v Golf engine ala sort of vehicle in Retro Cars magazine.
Cheers
