I am after a 1975 super Beetle in reasonable condition perferabley close to Newcastle
I guess my budget is up to about 5K for the right car But it must be the right car
I drive one atm & want to get one for my kid so in 3 years he can drive a real car!
The real reason (apart from the above is to keep mine on the road & part swap on a weekend to let me improive both but drive mine on Monday 
Please let me know if I am dreaming for the price

Assuming you're looking for a Rack and pinion bug?
Just do some close inspection before you commit, I've seen a number of Lbugs out there that are like mine which are not rack but were sold new in 75
so according to Volkswagen and the paperwork are 75 models but still have a steering box.
