hi every1 for sale is my 56 oval
she's a rat but a great 1 most of the body is in original paint and interior is mostly original to bar headliner and carpet.
i found it sitting in a shed with a 1982 rego sticker on it an the original sale and service booklet in the glove box. beside having to replace the floor pans it had and still has no rust in it.
it all looks pretty stock but i have put allot of work into it.
and have over $10000 in receipts (that's after i bought the car)
4 wheel disk brake's with Holden stud pattern (rears also have Porsche stud pattern
drodded spindles
fully rebuilt 1600 gearbox with new crownwheel and pinion with taller gears and a superdiff
200mm heavy duty clutch
also is strapped and remounted
has a fully balanced 2080cc strocker motor with lumpy cam 42mm inlet and 38mm outlet stainless valves,lightened flywheel and conter balance crank pulley, daul 40mm weber on top, thick plug leads and aridiam plugs ( goes very well)
also has a fully stainless 1 and 5/8 inch exhaust with fat boy muffler(also stainless)
is lowered has new shocks sway bar and anti tramp bar.(to stop squatting)
12 volt converted with oil pressure, temperature and tacho gauges installed.
battery isolator switch
the car has been painted in a product called ankor wax to prevent the body from getting worse and it works brilliantly the water beads off it and doesn't look a day older than when i got it
all window and door rubbers have been repalced
the car is registered but i will be selling it unregistered and as is would like to get $8,500 for it

Has the body been put on a later model floor pan ,looks like it ,just looking at the shifter and handbrake

floorpans have been replaced but is original tunnel and chassis
the shifter is late model with short shifter kit
hand brake is late model also (bolts in)

did geoff build you the motor? how does it go with the single carb?

motor was built by gary conti at conti engines and myself goes pretty well with single carb was tuned at leon motors

hi every1 im putting my oval back up for sale all details are as above, except it ran out of rego in dec 2012 couldn't afford to keep it on the road this is very unfortunate so hope i can find a good home for it

I would like to point out that potential buyers are almost always put off by the whole "currently registered but sell unregistered as is" thing. Unless of course the car is an obvious restorer. My suspicious mind says that if it is any good why not put a RWC with it and sell registered (which I'd also like to point out is a $550 on the spot fine in Qld for not doing so, the vehicle actually has to be unregistered before offering for sale. I know it is now but at the time of the original ad was not). Or at least an idea for buyers of why it wouldn't pass a RWC. You can easilly get more for a car with a RWC.

I'm not having a go, just saying it might take a while to sell at that price without rego or RWC.

Do you have the original items you have taken of it like wheels brakes, steering wheel etc?
