[FS - QLD] 1976 Beetle (SOLD)
Gracey - December 31st, 2011 at 01:01 PM

Hi all,

The time has come to part with one of my 76' model beetle's.
I've owned this bug for about 4 years now and I haven't had a problem with it in that time. It has been kept under cover the whole time.
This is a ball joint / IRS beetle.
The car is overall in very good condition and is roadworthy and currently registered in Qld.
There is a couple of spots of rust (nothing bad) and the front valance panel (apron) has some damage. This is essentially how the car was when I bought it.

Details:
1976 Beetle
Rego - 257 KCB registered till 29/03/2012
Motor - 1600 twin port, 36IDF Weber's, extractors, runs strong and doesn't blow any smoke.
Brakes - Disc brake front with type 3 rear drums, new pads and shoes.
Tyres - New (the pics show the old tyres)
Body - Good and straight (except for the minor rust and damage as noted above)
Suspension - Bilstein shocks front, heavy duty gas rear, otherwise std suspension (I have a set of type 3 wagon torsion bars that I'm happy to let go with the car).
Interior - Seats recovered, door cards crap, hoodliner average, stereo really crappy!!

Contact - Andrew Grace 0402 226 575

Location - Beaudesert Qld.

Hey that's a sweet car! I've been looking for a Beetle for around $4000 as my first car and this one seems pretty good compared to ones I've seen for sale before. I'm a few suburbs away at Forestdale.

Sadly my money is being loaned (why did I agree to that!?) so no transaction can happen in the next month or two...

Thanks Revhard335, I think I've priced it to sell, but you never know it might still be available in a month or two.

If you want to come and have a look just let me know.

Sorry mate I've got too many cars as it is.

I had a look at your add for your VR6, it looks good you shouldn't have any problems selling it.

Thanks, I priced it to sell.

The airbox works quite well, I actually bought it off a forum member a couple of years ago. I then modified it so a flat panel filter fits inside (the base is custom made out of sheet alloy) and connected some turbo tops from CB.

Thanks, didn't this it would hurt to ask :-)

Not trying to sell it actively, but would consider the right swap if it come up.

Nice beetle too, shouldn't be long before it's gone.
