Have sent ya a PM.
I think I'm in love....are you open to offers?
any of you guys buy this?
Nope not me - I was interested as a clubcar as there would have been issues with getting it registered in Qld but someone else bought it.
what issues?
They run on a shortened chassis, much like a Manx - so it isnt just as easy as calling it a body swap - which opens up a million other issues.
That is assuming you are doing everything legitimate.
but if its registered in NSW wouldnt that be a straight interstate transfer?
To transfer it you would need a safety certificate and the declaration about modifications- from my talking with the seller it was not declared as a
shortened chassis.. Sure you might get away with it, but bit of an expensive exercise if you dont.
It still looked like a great bit of kit for the price though
Hi Guy's,
Yes the Covin ended up in Brisbane,
No it was not an issue getting RWC and REGO or Insurance, if it had not been previously regestered that would have been a PITA.
It did come with a regestered engineers report stating the chassis was modified and complied with the relevant ADR
as well as the wheels, brakes and tyres, we did have some issues with the Subaru retrofit but all sorted out, the next fun task will
be fitting the 3.2 and getting the 5 spd in there without using coil overs. So will have a subaru 2.2 kit available soon..ish
and just to top it off....its looks better than the pics...was a bargin, nice addition to the garage.
Well done Apple am glad it worked out for you and look forward to seeing it around, looks like a great toy.
apple if you still have it, in a few years can i buy it
Hey Apple if you wanna get a 5 speed in there and not cut the torsion bar, fit one of my 5 speed subie boxes and a subie 3.0 or 3.6. Much more modern than a 3.2 and still a flat 6.
Hi apple Any chance of a pm
