Hi Guys,
Open to Offers for this car.
This photo is 4 yrs old and the car has been living out side for the last 3 years, so its starting to get the RAT LOOK with the paint fading and crows
feet.
The car ran out of Rego 6 months ago and will be sold without the 1776 engine that is currently in it.
I have owned the car since 2004, has been looked after by Custom Bugs & Buses in Penrith since 2006 until it ran out of rego last year, due to
getting a new Lotus Elise as my new daily driver.
I purchased the car from a solicitor in Melbourne, who owned it for a number of years. He purchased it from a guy in QLD who restored the car around
the mid 90's.
Would make an awesome RAT in a few more years or wonderful restoration project, as it is a very solid car.
Nothing beats pulling back the Golde ratop sunroof on a nice day or night.
Open to offers of $4,500 or best offer.
Car is located in Austral, NSW 2179. About 10-15 minutes west of Liverpool.
PM for VIN number if your seriously interested.
Please call Alex on 0401 213 846.
Firstly, very nice Beetle
Secondly, what sort of price are you looking to get for it?
And will it be sold completely engineless, or do you have another block available for purchase with it?
Thanks mate
I would reccomend viewing it first as it aint as preety these days, but still a very solid and unique car with the Ragtop.
I have an engine that is kinda weak on hills but gets around ok, in another car I only drive once a month or so. I have never done any work to it my
self, so I would reccomend an overhaul of the engine before relying on it to be a daily driver engine.
Price range = It's only worth what some one is willing to pay. I plan to take the best offer. Just need it off the driveway and in a good home
somewhere.
Just got a call from an interested guy in Melbourne.
For anyone interstate, I am more than happy to help where I can with being availble to help with transport or if you have mates in Sydney to have them
inspect the car for you, or if you wish to fly in to see the car, I can pick you up from the airport.
Cheers,
Alex.
Hi Alex,
just a thought, it will help heaps more if people can actually see what they are trying to buy (not what it use to look like).
I know you suggested to come see it if in Sydney, what about others around the state etc.
Good luck with the sale, Kev
Hey Kev,
Yeah I know, I intend to take some photos, just wont have a chance till the weekend.
I was at work and thought I would put the add up now to get some interest and hopefully some people over this weekend to have a look. Unfortunatly
these are the most recent photos I have of the car. I will post them up by Sunday night hopefully.
Cheers,
Alex.
What suburb in Sydney are you located in?

Just to clarify does it come with a motor at all?
I has a 1776 in it now. but I plan to keep it just in case, i put it in my other beetle.
I have a guy from Melbourne who is VERY keen on it and another guy who lives 5 mintues from me who is also keen, however at the moment, the guy from
Melb, has the best offer. He is just waiting on funds from a car he sold, which he should have shortly.
Is the car a factory sun roof car, it looks like the roof has been welded on through the A,B and c pillars, you do not get any rust issues in those places on that model.

Yes, it is a factory Golde ragtop. Not one of those cheap aftermarket ones like britax. The car was restored in QLD about 15 yrs ago. Any one from QLD remember the car or know who owned it ?
If some one wants to make an offer with the 1776 in there, please do so.
