As you might already know, it is always much cheaper to purchase a car that has already been restored, rather than go through the whole process yourself.

I am now selling my 1977 Kombi 8 seater bus.

The Kombi is basically "as-new", with:
brand new interior/exterior paint
new customer interior (spent $9k)
engine re-built to standard a few years back - but very few miles put on it since
brakes & suspension perfect
new tyres on new Empi mags
roof rack
CD player
absolutely no rust

As you might already know, it is always much cheaper to purchase a car that has already been restored, rather than go through the whole process yourself.

So while my Kombi is not cheap, you will save yourself money, time and effort - this Kombi is absolutely perfect.

Call me for more information; or view it in Fyshwick Canberra.

I re-listed this ad because the last image I used was probably too large, but I couldn't delete it.

Back in about 1975 a friend of mine bought a new ( basic ) kombi ie the bare interior with just the front seats ( with windows ) for about $4250 or similiar. He fitted it out with a bed and curtains and that was it.

I should have bought one and put it in a shed.

Looks beautiful mate......would expect to pay around $18000 for this bus......30 grand is heading into the splitty terrotory - its not even a lowlight.....and even then! :)

vwo60 - June 12th, 2012 at 05:36 PM

If you have no funds or intention to purchase the kombi why do people think they have the right to knock the vehicle, i would like to see some of you restore a kombi to the same level, as for the $18000 value that has been placed on it by the experts, what a insult, if you cannot say some thing good about it say nothing at all.

karmann141 - June 12th, 2012 at 06:04 PM

Well said vwo60.
They asked for a price and got one - if you don't like the price and don't have the money, keep your comments to yourself.
Beautiful bus and I challenge anyone to restore one to this level for $30grand - it's not all about splitties and lowlights - these vehicles are now all part of automotive history.
