I'm selling my festy due to a new project on hand and i'm also wanting to cut back on my rego bills....... Its a 73 tle factory auto, it had been converted to a subaru engine and also had a type 4 engine in it as
well. It has some rust in the usual type 3 areas like the rear pillars, base of windscreen and plenum. Has great floors and heater channels. I am
selling it with out an engine fitted as it needs to go back into the vehicle it came from. The vehicle is located in Marsden (Logan Shire) and can be
seen at most times. There are lots of spares available if required too ( guards, bumpers, beams etc) For more info please give me a call on 0406303361
or PM.

Thanks! It tends to be a bit polarizing, you either love it or hate it.

Oh well , i'm not in a hurry. It needs work but don't they all.
why is it so cheap thought it would already be sold
Think I might have snapped it up had it been in NSW. Sydney
Looks pretty good...
Bump up the jam...
Do you have any pics of the engine bay without the engine? Will it accept a type 1 engine with no mods? If not, what will need doing, interested in this as I have a 1600 engine without a home
yeah a std beetle motor will go in only if you have a type 3 case or universal case that will accept the late type 3 engine mount at the back because
these don't have frame horns like a beetle. Would also pay to seal the back seat area up and to prop open the deck lid so it cools. It is doable seen
several over the years done with beetle motors. Will post the pics on saturday when i see the car next.

Cheers Mike,
I will get onto google and see what I can find out, I've only ever owned beetles and early kombis and wasn't too sure on the differences with type 3

Still for sale mike?
I've seen that paint design befor .Back to the early days of my drag bug .
'Does it still have any subaru conversion bits on it ?
So far yeah it is up for sale. I do have a guy in S.A. thats interested but i think freight is going to be a killer.......... Yeah Pete I remember watching dak a tak at willobank many many years ago and always like the look.............besides it made the old festy look a bit different, The suby stuff has been removed and parts of it are going into my super project, the rest has already found a home. It was only an ea81 in there anyway.
Picture this car, rear lowered to match the front and a set of white walls..... what an awesome cruiser! now someone convince my wife to let me buy it!
she spends more on handbags n shoes - just buy it...!
