Hey Guys,
I’m sure a lot of you know this car! Unfortunately like my beetle the time has come for Dieters car to go as well.
This beetle is most of the way through a major rebuild inside and out. The rebuild was focused on nothing but going fast. There is not one nut or bolt
untouched.
Prior to the rebuild of this bug it ran a combination of engine ranging from 1916 to 2700cc. With the 1916 it lapped eastern creek in 1m 54s with 95hp
at the wheels. This motor was then upgraded to a 2.7L type 4 engine making 150hp at the wheels. This engine, brake and suspension setup at Wakefield
raceway lapped consistently in the 1:10s with a best of 1:10.2
Floor Pan: The rust free original pan was chemically stripped to bear metal and no rust repairs where required, then painted with 2pac gloss black.
After paint had cured the tunnel and all seems where treated with cavity wax and SH$T loads of it!!!! All body and chassis bolts have been dipped and
gold zinc coated.
The pan has been modified to suit a 915 Porsche gearbox which is available for sale on its own. The chassis forks have been shortened 3.5" this moves
the motor and gearbox forward for better weight distribution. A type one engine and gearbox can be fitted with berg style gearbox mounts. New hard
brake lines throughout, copper lines front to back for fuel and front mounted oil cooler. Custom made radiator mounts for a water cooled turbo.
radiator included.
BODY: Body has been chemically striped. When the body came out of the dip there was not even one repair needed prior to paint. Before paint a 6 point
bonds roll cage was installed (welded in) and all seams welded.
Aero front guards not painted will come with the car. Fibre glass front bonnet with flush mounted latches in black not painted. Perspex windows all
round bar front, cost $600. Momo race seat with head surrounding. Body has all wiring and separate loom for E6X haltech ECU. No ECU.
GT2 style whale tail with intercooler mounted just under vents. Fire wall moved 3” forwards from the bottom.
BRAKES: Porsche 964 front 4 pot calipers and rotors with alloy Porsche hubs, Rear are 964 2 pot Porsche cailpers and rotors. Full tilton floor mounted
pedal cluster with separate front and rear master cylinders.
SUSPENSION: Front has custom made coilovers with Bilstein inserts. Lower control arm, stub axles sway bar and rear suspension all ceramic coated and
fitted with new poly bushes. Rear has heavy duty torsion bars and bilsteins shocks.
Some costs:
• Prep and paint inside and out $7,000
• Bonds cage at family discount $3,000
• 915 Gearbox $3,500
• Momo Race seat $1,000
• 964 brakes $1,000 Plus machining
• Turbo inlet track $1,300
• Tilton pedal cluster $1,500 (Brand new!)
• 17 x 8.5” Porsche boxster S wheels $800
• Perspex window $600
• Bonnet & latches $600
• Ceramic coating $500 +
At $20,800 in parts and paint, not to mention the hours and hours of modifications made, make this an unreal deal for someone who wants the ultimate
beetle!
Dieter wants it all gone as the work shop is packing up, but by the same token has invested a lot of money and time into this car and doesn’t want
to throw it all away.
He is happy to do a deal at $10,000 with everything listed here! But without the Gearbox, Seat, tilton pedals and inlet manifold its yours for
$8,000
Will be adding more in depth photos in the next day or two.
Car is located at Gladesville NSW and can be viewed anytime by arrangement.
Please call or text Dieter on 0400 44 22 01 for any questions or info.

Is he interested in a R34 Skyline project?
Not joking....

Yeah that's right. Giving up the workshop but will still trade parts.

What about 10k worth of parts?
(I'll stop hijacking this forsale thread now:smilegrin
Hahah try your skyline on skylines Australia for 10grand and then you can grab the bug.
more pictures added!
would u consider selling the steering wheel ? very interested
I would have to say that is one very seriously reasonable price. Anyone who knows anything about race cars knows the significant amount of time, effort & $$$$ that goes into building a car like this. My new production car rebuild has cost me nearly as much and mine has no where near as much fabrication as 'greenie'. If I had not already built mine I would have bought this in a flash. It is just ashame your brother will not get to finish it and drive and race it. Good luck with the sale. BTW. Love the colour!
Bump for u mate... I know the hard work that went into that car...Commitments always come first!

Thanks for the great comments! It is a very fair price and I hope someone makes the most of it! There is no chance of building a car like this under
10g!
