very nice mate... will see if my dad can take it off your hands... i'l find out how much spare cash he has lol... is that your best price??

Sbug 71 - February 10th, 2013 at 12:51 PM

I might be able to move a little bit depending on whether you want NSW rego or not. I've invested a lot of money into this car and have recieplts for lots of $$$. I drive it about 60kms every day in all weather so it's reliable. I've been consistantly making changes and trying to improve it all the time.

Cheers.

gotthebug65 - February 10th, 2013 at 04:27 PM

hi mate would you be interested in selling the engine?

I am also in the port stephens area.

Sorry Mate,

Can't separate.
It's a great car but without that engine it wouldn't be half as good.

Thanks anyway.

Sbug 71 - February 10th, 2013 at 04:43 PM

I could knock a bit off the price though and sell it unregistered to you. If I don't have to register it in NSW it would save me a bit of coin. I can pass that saving on and you could have the whole car and do what you like with it. I added up the receipts before and it came to more than double the asking price. That doesn't include what I paid for the car in the first place.

Cheers.

gotthebug65 - February 10th, 2013 at 10:03 PM

not a worry mate
cheers

Can't believe this hasn't sold.......what a great daily driver + 'spirited driving' car :tu:

scot70wagon - February 11th, 2013 at 12:59 PM

SEEMS INDICATIVE OF THE MARKET AT THE MOMENT. LOTS OF SELLERS NOT AS MANY BUYERS.

snitz - February 11th, 2013 at 02:10 PM

New owner would be happy with this beetle....My wifes beetle has a 1916 built by the same angine builder..would be an awesome daily with enough poke.:tu:

Sbug 71 - February 12th, 2013 at 08:19 AM

I appreciate the kind comments lads. She's a lot of fun to drive and draws looks and comments from people everywhere, I just don't have the room to store her inside up here and with 3 school age kids and a toddler I struggle to find the time to spend on her.

Thanks again.

1966 type 3 - February 12th, 2013 at 12:54 PM

Hi I am teliing everybody about it as it is a bargain the motor alone is worth plenty good luck
i should by and seperate the motor and resell with a standard 1600 would end up being a cheap 1916

Sbug 71 - February 13th, 2013 at 07:55 AM

I did consider seperating and keeping the motor for a future project but as I mentioned before, no time no room. It would be a very cheap, well sorted run about with a standard 1600 in it for someone.

Cheers.
