Baja Dan - September 17th, 2012 at 09:48 PM
I have up for sale my Baja. It Has a 1600sp motor which runs well. I have fitted electronic ignition and alternator and has been converted to 12
volt. The body has rust but is fixable the electrics also need some work I think but not much.. It has been registered in it's current form since
1995 I believe and have most of the rego papers with it as well as a letter from Manx Australia stating the a Baja kit has been fitted. I no longer
have time to fix her up. I am on the Sunshine Coast. You can give me a call on 0423387700. $1500 NEG. Also have assorted Baja panels and other bits
that go with it. Also comes with full rear cage and new front bar.

Hey Dan, long shot I know but...........I'm on the look out for a VeeDub to run in the shitbox rally 2014, http://www.shitboxrally.com.au it's a charity rally in aid of the Cancer council, we completed it last year (Adelaide to
Fremantle via Uluru) in a $500 paddock find kombi, and really want to take another aircooled VW, this time from Perth to Darwin. The basic rules of
the rally are that the vehicle has to be roadworthy and registered and under $1000, any resto work undertaken ourselves does not count towards the
total.
So, if you need to shift it , and can accommodate our budget restraints, and would like to see it go towards a great cause (it gets auctioned at the
end of the rally also) let me know and we can give it a new lease of life as a charity rally car!
Thanks
Jon

How much rego do you have to put on it? Considering even 6 months Qld rego is close to $400 for a 4 cyl and the average RWC is $80, it doesn't leave
a lot to play with.
Buy a $900 registered car and pay for a $100 bogus RWC might be the go.

Fortunately the rego cost is 'pro-rata' and only the cost of the 7 days of the rally are used to calculate the total cost, so circa $15 for the week
