Gee there was only one real Beach Mk V bought into the country and that was the Norman Hamilton car chassis 117 is it that car ?

There were a fair number of copies made of it of the Beach, they were called Geneer's sure it isn't one of them ?

see http://www.virhistory.com/beach/formula.htm

The photo below is a Geneer btw.

Brisdubb has first dibs I suppose, else I will be down there to snap it up for the Historic guys be it a Beach or a Geneer.

Regards,

Ian

Hi Ian, well you got me there but its one or the other because unless they were all painted orange then thats the car cause thats what i've got except the numbers are 98. i'll go check the chassis out again cause i dont ever remember seeing a build plate anywere. i ' ll get back to you's this arvo. At this point i haven't heard back from brisbus since yesterday. regards mike.

Hi Ian, after double checking there is no build plate nor can i find any build no's stamped into any tubes or plates although the chassis still has its previous paintwork ( light blue ) on it so it could be covered. Possibly it is a Geneer as you say. I can't remember the guys name that we got it from , his mother inlaw lived a couple of doors up from us in Woori Yallock which is the lower mountains southeast of melbourne (55klms). Regards Mike.

Hi Mike,

If it's blue underneath I'm pretty sure it the same car.

This if the for sale photo of the car from about 10 years ago.

The orange car ( 24 ) above is the right colour for the bodywork but the blue car below is the right colour for the chassis. I'm now wondering if i've got a combo of the two as i remember the previous owner talking about his other car's (2). Also after looking at the beach info on that link you put up i realised that the beach chassis all seem to be mainly square tube frames apart from the rollbars compared to mine being all round tubing and exactly the same design. regards Mike.
