After much procrastination I have decided to sell my 1969 Notch which I’ve owned since 2004. It was a toss up between the notch or my ‘70 Beetle
but if I sell this I can get rid of all my type 3 parts and free up some shed space. What you get:
1969 1600 German plate notch. IRS rear with disc brake front. Currently running a 1641cc engine fully rebuilt 2 years ago and has done approx 20000Ks
since. It’s my daily driver and has been pretty reliable. I had a plan to restore it but the drag racing bug has bitten hard and I can’t see it
ever happening.
It’s a bit rough in places but apart from the mags is completely original so would suit resto or keep it as it is for a cool daily. It has very
little rust that I am aware of with a small hole on the inside engine bay in the air vent. It is currently reg’d until June 2013 but unless you know
of a vision impaired RWC mechanic is being sold unreg’d.
I’m asking $3300 for it….but wait there’s more. Apart from a show winning car (Best original Type 3 and 4, Klub VW show 2005) you get the
following:
• Two complete spare doors.
• A pair of front guards.
• Deck lid
• Windscreen
• A front end (I think I have callipers and discs)
• Countless bumper bars.
• Two complete cooling fan setups.
• A couple of gennies.
• Spare carbs
There's probably more parts stashed away that I can’t remember at the moment.
Please don’t contact me chasing any parts only. If anyone is interested in the car only without the parts then I’ll gladly off load the parts. I
would however like to sell everything in one hit. If it doesn’t sell I’m happy to hang on to it.
If your interested contact Stanley (aka Andrew Swanson) 0423775037, PM or swano111@gmail.com
