The Long Story;
FLOORPAN
Based on 1970 beetle. Only some of the tunnel and lower perimeter left, whole floor fabricated from 3mm checkerplate, body lift (and serious
strengthening) fabricated from 75 x 50 box section, full seam welded. Sandblasted prior to triplle powdercoating. No rust whatsover
Mandrel bent Cro moly cage includes sliders, steering support, front end braces and engine/gearbox support. Powdercoated black
A new fuel tank was modified to accept all the subaru in tank equipment and with a sump, pressure tested and remounted
Skid plate under motor/box
Mandrel bent cromoly tube bumpers with hidden wiring inside
Unlike a lot of modified cars the suspension geometry has been maintained- the wheel alignment was out by 0.25mm overall ( haven't got around to
making a shim for this yet)
SUSPENSION
IRS rear, all new (except torsion bars) adjustable spring plates, custom tough dog adjustable shocks, all new HD CV's and Axles
Balljoint front, everything new including adjustable beam. custom tough dog adjustable shocks
Nolathane was used throughout the car except for rubber shock mounts ( all new)
BODY
J and S body in good condition. Has some 'hanger rash' from my shed- most wouldn't notice, I do.
Massive scoop on the back is removable ( but I love it...)
Aeroflow locking fuel filler
Lowered Beard seats, new sliders, new belts
GEARBOX
Built 2 litre kombi box ( coping with the mud tyres so far no problem, but if you changed to a stickier/wider street tyre I doubt it would cope)
A subagears compatible STI 5 speed comes with the car.
Wrap around mount plus cage mount
New clutch and high torque starter ( 4 years, but only 700 km)
Empi quickshift
Tilton Hydraullic clutch pedal setup
BRAKES
Tilton master cylinder
All new vented slotted discs and new caliper's on front.
Disc brake kit on rear (with working handbrake)
Car comes with two new four piston alloy Rivmaster calipers and mounting brackets as well, never been fitted (not ADR approved)
ADR approved stainless lines throughout
ENGINE
Closed deck Subaru WRX quad cam (94 block)
Has had new everything ($14,000 bill from Autotech in Sydney!)
New VF34 turbo, moved to back of motor, aeroflow feed land drain lines.
Uprated 660 cc side feed injectors, deep sump, HV oil pump, undersize alloy pulley
Custom built exhaust in all stainless including EPA friendly stainless CAT and mufler
Custom made oversize tube and fin intercooler ( not bar and plate chinese crap) Build to avoid turbo lag. Has room to accomadate a fan or waterspray
if required.
Has fully working emissions system with new charcoal canister.
Turbosmart adjustable plumb back blow off valve
Remote Z9 oil filter mount (big and cheap)
Front mount BMW M5 radiator with extensive ducting and heat shielding to keep tank cool
Plumbing runs through the tunnel in insulated hydraulic hoses (no expansion creaking, no hokey under car mounts, no scalded passengers) until the
rear, where it runs through the lower engine cage
Engine and gearbox are painted in 2 pack to match the body.
Turbo housing, exhaust, extractors , intercooler plumbing were all ceramic coated silver
Brand new, genuine subaru 02 sensor
No MAF sensor etc.
K and N inner and outer filter
Boost is currently limited to a conservative 16 PSI, but could be set much higher.
ELECTRONICS
Haltech platnium computer ( complete replacement, not add on intercepter type) tuned by Autotech.
IPF headlight inserts with H4 globes
Davis Craig water pump
Davis Craig thermo fan
Genuine Halpro (?) HV in tank fuel pump
Full Autometer gauges in billet panel
Autometer boost guage with warning light and playback in cage mount.
Everything new ( not 1 beetle or subaru wire was used) wired by AAAE custom wiring. All hidden.

No radio
ENGINEERING AND REGO
Fully engineered for floorpan shortening, rebody, engine conversion, cage, brakes, seats, belts, exhaust- everything as it sits there.
Has passed brake, noise and emissions tests.
It's as good as impossible to get a car like this passed now days ( especially chassis shortening and turbo engine swap)
Car has an agreed value of 35K with Shannons ( they had to inspect it first)
Just put 12 months rego on it.
Tyres are 99% tread ( barely taken the little furs off) on new rims.
REASON FOR SELLING
Now have 3 two seat toys, huge work commitments plus 1 baby and 1 wife - doesn't work out so great. Selling all three to finance a single four set
toy.
Car has done less than 700 km in the last 4 years- 50 in the last twelve months- so it's got to go.
