Hi all anyone put these pushrods together before ?
How too... need to be pressed in ?

You need to work out the length and cut the pushrod to length, then press the ends in using two old lifters. A hammer works, a press is better.
Use two old lifters to support each end then tap the end in by hitting old lifter with soft face hammer.
Cheers for the tips mate....
would the length needed be different due to running the empi style 1.4 rocker?
stock cam and the rod length is 11.600

You need to set rocker geometry and then pushrod length, but IMO a wouldn't be running 1.4 rockers with a stock cam, also 1.4 rockers need lash caps fitted.
Fair enough mate do i need to pull the motor to fit a cam ? i am trying to get a bit of extra power out of my 1500 on a budget i want to build a 1915
hope fully start later this year so figured i could use the part on the build later on .....
Anyway once again cheers for the info

Yeah but highly likely you will need different length pushrods when you go to 1915
meant to say parts..... and i was referring to the rockers
thanks for the imput.

It is good practice to machine the push rods in a lathe to get the square on the ends.
im starting to think i might just fix the oil leaks in the 1500 save the parts ive bought for a motor build......
cheers again

Makes sense to me.
I used 1.4's on a stock cam on my last 1600, went ok. ended up being a bit shorter than stock pushrods, I just shortened stock aluminium ones.
