The bloody thing won't budge. I can't get the tie rod end to turn. I tried vice, grip pliers, heat, WD40
What else?
Have you loosened the lock nut but can't get the tie rod to turn?
Or are you trying to loosen he lock nut?
I did this a week ago and had success by soaking the lock nuts with a bit of WD40 and bending the lock tabs up. a little heat on the lock nut and they
loosened up.
The a bit of heat on the tapered lock ring that holds the tie rod threads tight on the tie rod end. Couple of taps with the hammer and they came loose
and slid off.
Then the tie rod end should be very easy to unscrew with a big spanner.
I had 1 end that was quite tight which I used a bit of pipe for more leverage on.
Didn't want to bend the lock tabs up but might have to do that then tap them into shape afterwards
Theyre called lock tabs for a reason

I might be using the wrong terminology, let me post a picture tomorrow
Seriously tho....have you checked if you are working on a left or right thread????
Two spanners turning opposite ways in the correct direction should do it
The large 'nut' is not threaded, it's tapered to lock the split tube onto the tie-rod end. After un-doing the lock nut, you need to tap the tapered 'nut' off the tube, to release the clamp pressure on the thread.
After a lot of hammering, twisiting and heat, I got them off this morning
