So I noticed last night that my speedo wasnt working. I havent dug too deep into it yet but I was keeping an eye on it as it was a very tight fit to get the cable into the spindle when I lowered my car.

I felt under there last night and the spindle has definately eaten throught the rubber coating, possibly the cable too.

Has anyone else had this issue before and if so, how did you rectify it?

I'm running 2.5" drum drop spindles and a 4" adjustable narrowed beam.

While not actually the same thing, i went though 2 differnet cables on the baja before changing to a gps speedo

no real idea of what happened to them, too much angle change though the travel is my guess,

My Baja went through a couple of speedo cables in its time... Might be onto something nils...
