Does anybody have any drawings, articles or plans on how to build a VW compressor? Or does anybody know of any kit that may be available for the purpose?

Failing that, does anybody know what parts I will need and where I can get them to convert a 40 Hp into a compressor?

I guess what I really need to know is how to make or where to get the valves to use on the compressor side, as well as details of any other changes that are needed with the motor. I'm not to worried about making a repro of the originals, its only for my shed.

I'm ok on the air filter, pressure tank and water trap stuff, I just need to know how to do the valves. Any engine mods I need to know about?
