Engine has been removed , front mount was delaminates, so thanks to those who pointed me in the right direction.
About to install new nosecone mount, but I noticed the mount has a dimple. does this signify a need to be mounted a specific orientation?
If so , where does the dimple go? Up, or down?
Many thanksj,
Peter.
So I inserted the mount cutout up. There is a web from the nose cone of the gearbox that looks like needs the room from the cut out.so new mounts have
been installed throughout, I also installed a cross bar that bolts onto the gearbox and has urethane blocks resting on the shoehorns.this is meant to
help the front mount .
Well I have done it, very happy with the job. Now do some odd bits and pieces on the motor and in it will go and back on the road shortly.
Thanks for listening to my ramblings.
Peter.
I just looked at a manual and they showed it had two studs or bolts and they could only go on one way onto the gearbox...
LHS bolt was higher than the RHS bolt...
O
............ O
so could only go one way... later mounts had slots...
not sure on early mounts...

As Joel pointed out they can be inverted.
The offset on the bolts is the same whichever way you turn them.
As I discovered I went notch up,,I hope it's correct too far now to go back.lol
