Crank Pulley

I have a standard pulley on my motor and was thinking of getting one with the degree marks to help with timing. What are your opinions on best one to get or reasons why not to get. cheers

Personally I think the std VW pulley is the best but otherwise the higher end producers like CB.

The aftermarket item needs to be machined to the same spigot dimensions as the OE or maybe a little tighter and have the reverse scroll machined into the spigot. These things will maximise the pulleys ability to retain oil in the case.

To make timing easier just paint the notch white on the OE pulley or remove it and use a protractor to make additional marking on the pulleys edge?

Be aware alot of pulleys have a print out of the degree's on them that fade/rub off very quickly :(.

Hence go for quality.
