Good morning!
I been on the prowl for some new tail light lenses to suit 1500 series 69' bug. I see plenty of repro ones with the reverse lamps, but my 1500 is
'pre' reverse lights.
Does anyone know where to get em?
I don't wanna run tail light lenses with the reverse clear section, as when i reverse, people will expect them to shine/glow.
Its for a baja, maybe my only option is to opt for 67' style assemblies?
Thanks,
Chris.
I think i have a set at home you can have, i will be home on friday from work, i wll look then.
Mick motors have both the type with reverse lamps and without. About $18 each last time I was chasing some.
Just Kampers have OE Hella lenses but not cheap
Do you mean tombstones or the earlier oval shaped ones?
VWheritage sell most varieries as do Vollks
Thanks dubbers!
Yea the tomb stone ones.

1500 Lenses I bought from Vintage Veedub..not cheap but OEM..
Hi
I can see that if you want to keep your car original you would try to source these tailights, I think having reverse lights is a great investment in
safety for other road users and pedestrians. The're not hard to hookup.

I think you'll find the kombi box has a blanking plug where the switch goes, so it could be done with the addition of a switch and appropriate
wiring.
The OEM lenses from Vintage are fantastic
