hi guys, i have a different Speedo I haven’t seen before, it’s in a 1967 beetle. would this be the original Speedo? i haven’t seen one before
like this. might keep it for me 1960 build. any chance this could have came out in 1960? lol
input would be great....
It's just an ordinary aussie VDO 60-67 Beetle speedo, its just got one of the KM/H overlays fitted.
The build date will be stamped into the back of it.
It's not a sticker, they would have had to open speedo up to change face. Would this be the case?
yes it has been opened up see it has Australia written on it
Yes, it is a sticker.
It's no sticker, it's a Complete face been changed out.
It's a sticker......it can be clearly seen in your picture.
Not a sticker or complete face but a metal ring with the KHP printing on it laid over the top of the OE MPH face.
That would be it, any idea of the history of it?
Its actually printed cardboard glued onto the origional metal face I have had them apart before
they were made in the late 70s after we converted to metric

Thank you. They are made very well. Much better then a sticker. I knew someone on here would have an idea.
Thanks again.
Yes, glued to the face is much better than a sticker.
I fitted quite a few of the stickers to the inside dial over the years, they looked good as long as you cleaned the face up and lined it up but I have seen a lot of the stickers on the glass.
Stickers on the glass suck!
G'day all. it has copyright reserved printed on it. I sold hundreds if not thousands while working at Repco in 73 74 after klms where introduced they
were a simple sticker that some people just stuck on the outside but most fitted them correctly as this 1 was
