HI GUYS i am rebuilding 1800 motor for my 73 single cab and have got all the stuff to find out the heads that where on there are stuffed the barrels i got are 93mm so what heads can i buy to put on got a few price and it would seem its going to cost about 1100 for heads and mailing can any body help with a cheaper way

Shipping from USA is generally pretty expensive. Look at Uk suppliers and Volkszone forum for second hand stuff.
Transglobal express use unused carrier allowances to ship things cheaper than normal but even Royal Mail is pretty reasonable compared to Oz post and USA post.

Also, when you say the heads are stuffed, in what way? Seats can be replaced and guides renewed so that only leaves cracks between the valve seats.

hi yes checked out the samba and import from usa
but thanks psimitar will have a look at the uk site the heads are both got cracks in them told they where fine we i brought them grrr

You really should by new ones, used you will likely just end up having 2 sets of cracked heads

Should be around $1k complete. Try Vintage or any parts supplier in the back of VWMA

got them from the states 950 compete amc heads from koko parts
