Hi all. Need to flush out the green coolant and put in the pink coolant and was wondering what radiator flush is best at removing all the particles of
coolant.
Tahnks
With the thermostat removed I shove the garden hose in there and run till clear water comes out the rad top hose. Then if I really want to try and clean the crud from the system whatever Supercheap or Repco have and run that as instructed on the bottle. Then after that another flush with the hose pipe
Also I might add that its wise to do a final flush with distilled water and use distilled water when mixing up your coolant.
Not sure on the red coolant but on green (ethylene glycol) I use 50-55% coolant to water.
Good to do an electrolysis check before and after doing the flush if possible.
Similar here....
Last time I had issues with an almost completely blocked radiator on a T3, I just upped it with the fresh water hoses until it ran crystal clear, but
I flushed both directions & believe I loosened / got rid of more crud with the reverse direction. Then blew as much of the fresh water out as I
could with compressed air.
